Rakhmetov D. Biological foundations of introduction and cultivation of new sorts of annual and perennial species of Malvaceae family in Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

The introduction of annual and perennial species of the Malvaceae family and the new competitive variety growing technology. The purpose of investigations was contained in the development of the principles of introduction and new variety growing and on this basis in the increase of species diversity of agrophytocenoses of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe. The research methods are generally scientific and special: field, biomorphological, physiological, allelopathic, microbiological, laboratory, statistic ones. The role of introduction as an important factor of the increase of species diversity of agrophytocenoses is theoretically substantiated, the role of mallows in the agriculture biologization is determined, the biomorphological and ecological details of the regularity of the formation of green weight of tops and seeds of annual and perennial introducent of the Malvaceae family in the ontogenesis process are revealed. 11 new heavy-productive varieties and genetic hybrids adapted to the ecological condit ions of Ukraine are developed. 7 of them are put on the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. The research results are introduced at the farms of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe and Polissia over an area more than 15 thon.ha. The profitability of annual mallows makes up 255.4-371.1 %, that of perennial ones - 399.6-844.6 %. The field of application is agricultural production.
