Humeniuk V. Dramaturgy by Volodymyr Vynnychenko. The Problems of Poetics

The dissertation deals with the research of V.Vynnychenko's drama poetics; it is devoted to the problem of clarification of the typical features of the writer's drama poetics in its correlation with the main art tendencies of his time. The researcher, following the principle of the aesthetism, mainly with the help of such methods as structure typology, hermeneutics describes for the first time in the literary science the creative evolution of the dramatist, assigns its phases, which are mainly joined with genre alterations in his dramatic creativity (intellectual drama, intellectual melodrama, satirical comedy, heroic-psychological drama, tragedy). The main features of the author's individual style, where the energetic expressiveness is paradoxically combined with the elegiac mildness, are described. The critic is open to the discussion with the scientists who interpret Vynnychenko's works as the ones belonging to realism. He interprets the writer's dramaturgy as the phenomenon that is transitive fromthe early modernism to vanguardism.
