The conceptual position of the author is connected with an idea of presence of the moral and psychological component in every social conflict. The realisation of this idea gives possibility not only to reveal the common in every conflict, but to simplify the searches for the ways of resolving the conflicts or making it more civilized and human as well. In accordance with this conception no conflict of values does exist independently. In the theses is given the generalized investigation of the problem of conflict with the consistent and fundamental overwieving its historical evolution and modern state, and realized a sociological investigation of the state and the level of considering and resolving the conflicts applying to the mental types of the people of Ukraine and Poland.
