Essay

The thesis contain comparison of principal methods of EBR by refining degree, productivity, metal loses and electricity consumption. Heat transfer and physical chemistry Aspects of electron beam melting with cold hearth (EBCH)were researched. Refining process mathematical simulation was involved taking in account kinetic peculiarities of heterogeneous metallurgical reactions of gases elimination and evaporation. Experimental data of melting and crystallization theory of and practice was combined in application to the particular steels and alloys. The correlation between physical chemistry processes taking place in EBCH and steels and alloys quality and working properties level was found. The technology and equipment for steels and alloys electron melting with cold hearth were performed. Construction of laboratory and industrial furnaces with cold hearth was given and economical efficiency of EBCH was estimated.
