Essay

The thesis is devoted to solution of the most important problems that challenge the railway transport - to increase the motion speed, to improve the traffic safety, and to decrease the extra-normative wear of rail and wheels due to improving the technical characteristics of running gears of rail vehicles. Mathematical models of spatial vibrations of rail vehicles have been developed with use of an improved procedure of specifying the irregularities of rail lines. The mathematical description of a loss of the wheel/rail contact has been suggested. A method of object-oriented programming in development of mathematical models of rail vehicles of different types has been used for the first time taking into consideration the unification of mathematical description of spatial vibrations of separate parts. A procedure of vector optimization of spring suspension parameters for various types of rail vehicles taking into account the basic dynamic characteristics has been performed. The mathematical description of choosing the rational design of a rail vehicle bogie has been suggested. The results obtained have been used in choosing and realizing the parameters of running gears at the following enterprises: JSC "Azovmash", Open JSC "Kryukivs'ky Car-Building Plant", JSC "Dnieprovagonmash" and Research&Production Company "DEVZ".
