Essay

Subject of research is rock mass in the vicinity of shafts affected by coalfaces. Aim of research is scientific conclusion on the patterns of subsidence and movement of rock mass being undermined and development on this basis mine-surveying control for optimum protection of shafts. Methods used are integrated research (experimental and theoretical). The novelty is that for the first time methods are substantiated and developed for optimum protection and efficient undermining of the shafts based on the specified new patterns for rock mass subsidence and movement. Field of application is coal-mining industry.
