Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of the West-European nihilism from sources up to now. The object of research is genesis and evolution of the West-European nihilism as apofatic way of the philosophical reflection. The subject of the research is nihilistic philosophy from Kierkegaard up to Heidegger and its transformation in mental forms of the modernity. The West-European nihilism is defined as negativist world outlook installation of the person and permissive society as a whole, based on ontological alienation of the person and caused by logic of western civilization development. In the dissertation proves that European nihilism, being based on an existential mentality, develops its own metaphysics, which embodies negative experience of human existence. Complete reproduction of nihilistic paradigm in vertical and horizontal planes discovers the disclosing of ambivalent essence of the West-European nihilism and revealing of its positive sense. The weighed historical and philosophical analysis from positions pro et contra allows to qualify this word outlook phenomena not only as display of will to denying and destruction, but also as realization of will to the affirming and creation. While representing crisis consciousness, nihilism accents the self-overcoming as the basic requirement of active life creativity. Comparative analysis conducted in dissertational research proves the European base of domestic philosophizing which has generated original type of the Ukrainian reflections about Niеtshe.
