Goychuk O. Food security: theory, methodology, problems

Subject of inquiry – agro-food politics of the country as a system of actions to maintain food safety in Ukraine. Research objective – develop conceptual, theoretical, methodological and applied bases of the formation of stable food security system of Ukraine, which is based on effective development of agro-industrial complex, functioning of balanced food market in the country, and on increasing of economical availability of food products for the population of Ukraine. Research methods: dialectical, systemic analysis, scientific abstraction, comparative, expert evaluations, surveys. Theoretical and practical results – system presentation of concept of formation of stable food security system is developed; directions of purposeful economical regulations of its development, which are based on the system of indicators and parameters of food security are ordered; its organizational, economical and social mechanisms are improved. Scientific novelty – conceptual model of food security is developed; scientific bases of formation of strategy of its development as a steady system in market economy are analyzed. Methodology and methods of evaluation of food security level are improved; mechanisms of state regulation for food security system and particular parameters are determined; ways of formation and effective functioning of food market are offered.
