Myalovitska O. Clinic-neuropsychological, magnetic resonance imaging characteristics of multiple sclerosis, system of its diagnostics and treatment.

Dissertational work presents a new direction in the study of multiple sclerosis which reflects changes in the psychological status of patients with MS. The criteria of early diagnostics of multiple sclerosis are defined. The characteristics of the personality of patients with MS according to the type of the course, the degree of hardness, the stage and the duration of the disease is presented. It is established that the character of the changes of MMPI profile witnesses about clear hypochondric tendences, the depressive syndrom is closely linked with. It is shown that the disorders of cognitive functions are discovered among patients with MS: decreasing of the momentary and associative memory, difficulties with mastering the information, slowing down the sensomotor reactions, difficulties with abstract and conceptual mentality. The analysis of the correlative mutual links between MRI data and neuropsychlogical characteristics has shown that morpho-functional changes of the brain substance affect in themechanisms of the development of the cognitive disfunction among patients with MS. The complex approach is improved and the new means of pathogenetic treatment of MS are inculcated. The differentiated approach to the prescription of the immuno-supressive therapy during the exacerbation among patients with MS is grounded. It is shown the therapeutic efficiency of longitudinal treatment of interferon-beta-1a - rebif and phlogenzym is shown.
