Essay

The study aimed to assess predisposing factors for early postinfarction dilatation (EPD) of left ventricle and contains data of assessment of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Established relationships between EPD and sex, AMI localization, extent of inflammatory response, tissue perfusion and presence of viable myocardium. Coronary stenting, anticoagulation, fibrinolytic and cardioprotective therapies have positive impact on EPD. Application of results - clinical medicine. Results were implemented in clinical practice in medical institutions.
