Object: children's and junior population, contacting with various factors of visual environment as well as some factors of visual environment (chidren's printed matter, playing means of information represantation,computer games). Purpose: to find out regularities of complex effect of modern factors of visual environment on schoolchildren with substantiation of principles avd criteria of their hygienic regulation (HR) in the system of prophylaxis of prenosological disorders. Methods: hygienic, ophthalmologic, physiologic. mathematical-statistical, social-hyhienic. Results: complex multilevel system of primary and secondary preventive measures is substantiated and elaborated; concept of HR of visual environment factors, hygienic principles and algorithm of their evaluation, conceptual model of control of process of regulation are elaborated; substantiated the system of scientific, information-methodical and normative provision as an integral HR of present and new factors of visual environment and to ensure its effective functioning; Sanitary Norms 5.5.6.084 - 02 "Hygienic Requirements to Printed Matter for Children", Methodical Recommendations "Evaluation and Prognostics of Influence of Playving Means of InformationRepresentation on Health Condition of Schoolchildren" are elaborated, approved by Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Patent "Method of Diagnostics of Information Load of Printed Editions forChildren and Teenagers" is taken out. Novelty: hygienic evaluation of condition of modern visual environment of children's and junior population is given, regularities of influence of factors on indicated groups are found out, interconnection between influence of visual load and prenosological health disorders is determined; hygienic evaluation of textbooks and school supplies, typical violence of hygienic requirements are determined, technique of hygienic examination of given kind of articles of children's range is substantiated and offered; the most widespread playing means of information representation and program products are evaluated from hygienic positions, the technology of HR is offered; the method of diagnostics of information load of printed editions for children and teehagers is elaborated, intended for an objective quantitative evaluation of separate factors and versions of printed matter design, as for ascertaining possible influence of elements of printed matter design on children's health and mental capacity for work; dependence of schoolchildren's reaction onvisual load of printed matter on technological- higienic indices and age, which is the basis of complex evaluation of correspondence of parameters of design of texts to hygienic requirements for providing optimal capacity for work; in conditions of natural hygienic experiment, the influence of different types of different types of computer games, playing means of information representation on functional condition of children and teenagers is investigated, the regularities of development of prenosological conditions, criteria of their evaluation andthe basis directions of higienic correction are found out, as priority indications of hygienic regulation of factors of visual environment; the concept of HR of visual environment factors is elaborated, hygienic principles and algorithm of evaluation of factors, conceptual model of control of process of regulation process are substantiated; hygienice standards of printed matter are elaborated,ensuring safety for children's health, technique of prognostics of development of prenosological conditions as a result of influence of playing means of information representation is elaborated. Introduction: into the work of institutions of sanitary- epidemiological supervision and into educational process at hygienic departments of six medical institutes of higher education.
