The same scientific-theoretical issues are observed in historical cut, within the process of evolution of historical-legal cognition. The author forms Jasnus-faced model of object, generalizes character of subject of historical-legal cognition. Ways of reconstruction and enrichment of historical-legal knowledge are expressed in the light of modern epistemological situa-tion, in virtue of generalization of the modern tendencies of world's historiography, and analysis of the postmodern historiography discussion. Besides, opportunities of their anthropology are considered. The author propounds and substantiates a hypothesis that historical-legal cognition is a complex, multilevel, multilayer phenomenon; doesn't limit with traditional historical-legal scientific disciplines, and has theoretic branches (the universal history of law as theo-retic history of law and historiosophy of law as a sphere of philosophy-historical comprehension of law). The concep-tion of renovation of historical cognition of law is formu-lated as a general conclusion
