The mass socio-economic phenomena and processes which are carried out in the field of foreign economic activity of Ukraine are a research object (foreign trade by commodities, services, international capital flow). Methodological and methodical principles of statistics of foreign economic activity are the article of research. As theoretical and methodological basis the dialectical method of research of the phenomena and processes is used in their intercommunication and development, systems approach to the problems which are examined. Such methods of research are used also: classifications, statistical groupments, cross-correlation-regressive analysis, index method, selective supervisions, graphic method logical generalization of results and other methodological bases of statistics of foreign economic activity are generalized in a theoretical plan, got further development of determination of object and object of particular a branch statistics - foreign economic activity, connections of this statistics are set with other sciences.Methodical principles and practical recommendations are developed in area of construction and calculations of indexes of foreign trade of Ukraine, selective supervisions after export prices, drafting of technological balance of payments, providing of comparableness of information of balance of payments and account of the other countries of world of national accounts of Ukraine and other Methodological and methodical approaches of construction and calculations of prices, physical volume and term-of-trades external, leadthrough of selective researches of export prices, indexes are inculcated in area of foreign trade by commodities.
