Essay

The thesis covers the topics of prognosis of the operation reliability of locomotives and locomotive brigades in the process of pre-route preparations. Pre-route preparation of locomotives and locomotive brigades is a specific type of servicing, which is different from the ones existing now and is performed at the same time with them; it presupposes performing certain operations of control and diagnostics of the technical condition of rolling-stock and psycho-physical state of the locomotive brigade. It anticipates the availability of specialized equipment, devices and tools, enough stock of components and materials and the proper qualification of the personnel. The thesis gives analysis of the technology of locomotives servicing and the processes of cooperation with human-operator, on the basis of which the methods of evaluating the quality of preparation of locomotives and locomotive brigades for the trip have been developed. The effectiveness of the process of pre-route preparation as a system of mass servicing with varied flows of claims and services has been determined. The information model of pre-route preparation has been developed and the information load of the engine driver has been evaluated. A complex index of the pre-route preparation has been offered; the influence of psycho-physical state of the engine driver and the technical condition of the locomotive on the preparation index has been determined.
