The presented work is devoted to solving the scientific and practical problem of increasing the resource and operational reliability of sheet parts of vehicles by improving and developing constructive and technological formation when predicting the method of the product life cycle. The choice of the research directions has been made to ensure the necessary or optimal durability and operational reliability of vehicles, which is ensured at all the stages of production and operation. At the present stage, the most effective method in the design of a vehicle is the method of the constructive and technological formation. But, this method does not take into account the hierarchy of the design process, the need to choose the effective strategy and general production plan. In addition, the creation of a vehicle requires a large “fund” of the accumulated knowledge, the “fund” of promising research and development directions. Therefore, it is advisable to call the method of the constructive-technological formation as the method of research- constructive-technological formation. This will contribute to the development of the scientifically based methods and techniques for the design and manufacture of vehicles. The reserve for increasing the resource of sheet parts of vehicles is attracting a systematic approach to creating a structural and functional model of a vehicle structure and sheet-stamping production based on the concept of a product life cycle from the moment of choosing an effective strategy until the end of the service life.
