Pashchenko S. The criteria of individualization of the treatment of patients with breast cancer on the basis of determination of some lectinspecifical markers of the tumor

There are studied the opportunities of the enhancement of efficacy of diagnostics and the individulization of the breast carcinoma treatment on the basis of estimation of the lectinspecifical carbohydrate determinants’ profile of tumor. The retrospective researches allowed to install that biological peculiarities of the tumor: autonomy, rate of growth, metastazing, primary multiplicity, adhesia and invasia correlate with presence of the cells with receptors to lectins in the tumor. Appearance of distant metastases during the first two years after radical treatment is connected with lack of receptors to lectins SBA, ML, Con A, LCA and PSA in parenchyma and stroma of the tumor. On the basis of determination of receptors to lectins it was individualized the treatment of the patients with breast cancer. Among patients with breast cancer in the stages T1с 0M0 and T2N0M0 in case of absence of receptors to lectins in parenhyma and stroma of the tumor there were effective organ saving operations. In cases of carcinomas with phenotype PNA+, HPA+, SNL+, WGA+, Con A+, PSA+, LCA+ and ML1-, SBA- postoperative chemotherapy reduced the frequency of local recurrence. Including the conservative method into the program of treatment of the patients with local breast cancer improves the results in cases when parenhyma and stroma of the tumor contain the receptors to ML1, SBA, Con A, PSA, LCA lectins.
