Donbass in the ethno-cultural coordinates of Ukraine (sociological analysis). This thesis is dedicated to a sociological analysis of ethno-cultural peculiarity of Donbass region, which is viewed within the framework of Ukrainian regional system. It is constructed like a theory of a middle rank. Through the analysis of a case of Donbass one makes conclusions about region's social nature, its position in the social scope, causes of the intense scope morphogenesis in modern societies. The paper gives concrete expression to the subject of sociology of the regions as a special sociological branch of science. By means of a regional approach one defines more precisely the notions of ethnos, values, field of mass communication. This thesis also examines sociological premises of improvement of the state regional policy, programs that promote ethno-cultural communities in Ukraine.
