Essay

The subjects are oscillation phenomena in nonlinear systems containing re-entrant electron beams and electromagnetic waves in crossed fields. The purpose is investigation of temporal and frequency dependencies (spectra) of this systems oscillations. The methods are numerical computer simulation and parametric spectral analysis. The novelty is that continual spectra of the output parameters and characteristics of M-type devices were obtained for the first time in theoretical way. The causes of increased noise level in crossed-field devices were ascertained. A method for gain increase of cathode-driven M-type amplifiers was proposed.
