Korniychuk V. Poetics of Ivan Franko's lyrics.

The dissertation is the first attempt to carry out a complex systematic and functional research of the poetical lyrics by Ivan Franko in various aspects, such as evolutional, aesthetic, genological, eidological, rhythmical and intonational. The main periods of the evolution of his aesthetic perception are characterized together with the major types of lyrical structures. The genre nature of certain verses, separate cycles and the most popular collections of poetry has been specified. Franko's lyrical universe is viewed through the prism of literary hermeneutics; the peculiarities of artistic thought have been described. The aesthetic functions of the rhythm are determined as well as the mutual connection between rhythm and melodic on the one hand and the content of the poetry on the other. The author stresses on the novelty of the poet's writings.
