Boichuk I. Pathogenic mechanisms of amblyopia (clinic, diagnostics and treatment)

Object - amblyopia of different kind. Purpose - to increase diagnostics and treatment efficacy in patients with amblyopia of different kinds. Methods: clinical, functional, electrophysiological; anomaloscope AN-59, adaptometre, maculotester,electrostimulater,electroencephalograph with computer complex QUATTOR. For the first time in patients with amblyopia established that changes of P- and M-channel retina-cortical links indices leades to decreasing of stereovision and disturbancies of eyes interaction in binocular visual field. It is proved that in amblyopic patients electroencephalogram changes, absence of alpha-rithm oppressing during mono- and binocular photostimulation prove disorders of ocular motility adjusting in the limits of one and both hemispheres. For the first time complex of success treatment functional factors were revealed: macular stereovision threshold, fusion amplitude by sinoptophore,both eyes optic nerve liability by phosphen.The results of this work were introducted in the Filatov institute, in the regional ophthalmology hospital of Nikolaev, in the regional hospital of Kherson, in Konstantinovka child's city hospital of the Donetsk region.
