Fed I. Transcendental and Culturelogical Measuring of an Ukrainian Icon

The dissertation deals with a theoretical comprehension of an icon as a transcendental and culturelogical phenomenon, as an intention of the heroic as pathos of the humanity search of humanistic idea. The dissertation research shows an icon as a means of spirit penetration into material substance, which assumes realization of a complex process of transformation of a man into personality of a people into a historic nation. The dissertation paper provides evaluation of iconographic "pravilniki" (divine service books) by means of a method of mathematics statistics with an orientation at the Ukrainian understanding of sanctity. There have been analyzed the concepts by icon as a typical "after written" work, as a desirable ideal of art. The dissertation paper dwells upon the oriental paradigm of the icon interpretation as a representant of a "perfect man", the methodology of neo-Confucianism for the analysis of the Ukrainian icon is used. For the first time in the Ukrainian culturelogy and aesthetics therehas been systematized the experience of the Ukrainian and foreign scholars, including historical tradition and present-day condition of the philosophical-aesthetic measuring (evaluation) of iconography.
