Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of improvement of prophylaxis and treatment of patients with abdominal sepsis. The frequency of abdominal sepsis, main reasons and causes of its development are assessed. Data obtained related to aetiology and pathogenesis allowed creating new treatment algorithms, which include systemic etiothropic antimicrobial therapy algorithm, abdominal sepsis antibiotic prophylaxis algorithm, enteral dysfunction correction algorithm and surgical treatment algorithm. The use of proposed treatment concept manifested in significant decrease of major clinical variables. Results - improvement of treatment; branch - medicine.
