In the dissertation the theory bases and opportunities sociological conceptualisation of the images of an information society and prospects of connection of sociology to interdisciplinary discourse concerning problems of becoming of such society are revealed and proved. The author of the dissertation considers the historical types of social thinking on the basis of which there were images of a society and proves the methodological approach to a problem of conceptualisation produced in social scienes images of an information society.
