Essay

The Dissertation is dedicated to the research of the establishment processes and functioning of political ideals, including in modern Ukraine. Political science analysis is systematically connected with historical-philosophical and legal analysis during the research of historical process of changes of political ideals and institutes. General theoretic, methodological and applied problems of learning and using on practice different types of political ideals, especially ideals that are forming in modern Ukraine, are widely covered. Classification of historical types of ideals by civilization, structural-functional, world view and class-party characteristics is implemented in this work, and it shows that political ideal should not be brought to the projects of ideal states, utopias, rationality examples, is needed to be taken into consideration in Ukraine. The ideal of political development, formation of the country might contain in itself a public dream, ideal image of the future or a tough rationality of totalitarianism. That is why this complicated phenomenon must be looked at as a unification of rationality and irrationality, of dream and reality.
