Subjects: processes of strategic management of companies-consumer goods producers. Objectives: the development of theoretical and methodological grounds of forming strategy aimed at the insurance of competitiveness of a company operating in the sphere of consumer goods production as well as substantiation of guidance and practical recommendations for the mechanism of its realisation. Methods: general scientific(theoretical generalisation and comparison, system and purposeful, abstract and logical) and special (statistic and economic, theory of matrix games, expert, statistic cluster analysis, mark evaluation analysis, matrix positioning analysis, selective research, polling). Proposed: definition of stable competitive advantages of companies-consumer goods producers; stages of economic development; ascription to strategic types according to determinants; many-dimensional special interpretation of strategy selection for competitiveness insurance; mechanism of strategy formation; forecast of a relative part of a company on target market; evaluation of situation on commodity markets.
