Essay

The thesis studies the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of forming the integrated knowledge with senior pupils. It analyzes formation and development of integrated approach as a method of learning and displays the essence of the integrated knowledge as a quality in which the former transforms when organized as an integrity. The proof is given to the statement that any system of knowledge regardless of its content has not only an elemental but also a functionally morphological structure. While the elemental structure is a bearer of integrated characteristics the functionally morphological one defines the mechanism of generation of a system of integrated knowledge. The paper also proves the assertion that integrity of knowledge is a quality that integrally originates from functional, hierarchic, structural and „emergental" characteristics of integrated knowledge for which the combination of systematical and contents correlations is the basis. Both theory and methodology of integral and developing learning with senior pupils are developed and verified on the example of the physics course for the 9 grade pupils along with some separate instances for mathematics, geography, Ukrainian literature which combines allowed to consider the methods of integrated knowledge formation with senior pupils.
