The investigation object: burn disease. Methods of research: pathophysiological, biochemical, hematological, histological, histochemical, pharmacological, statistical. The theoretical and practical importance of the received results:The results broaden the existing thories of the mechanisms of burn disease and can be applied in the further research and teaching. The data of the new mechanisms of the burn disease will promote optimization of its pathogenetic therapy. Furthermore, the experimental substantiation of application of Criohor preparation for treatment of burn disease renders it possible to recommend it for further investigation and possible implementation in order to include it in the complex of antiburn therapy, thus broadening the range of the means of the complex therapy of burn disease. A new efficient experimental method of treatment of burn disease is proposed. The method is based upon application of Criohor preparation, patent "A method to treat burn disease in experimental animals" and is awarded a diploma and the gold medal of the International salon of inventions and new technologies "Novy chas" and the grand-prix "AGEPI" of the state agency of intellectual property. The scientific novelty of the investigation results: For the first time a range of new mechanisms of burn disease is found in the extensive complex systematic study of characteristics of burn disease and their correlation in all periods of the disease. For instance, peculiarities of cell responses in the burn-caused inflammation of the skin and the peripheral blood compared to those in non-burn inflammation are found. A relationship between cell reactions of the damaged skin and systemic biochemical alterations is found by the means of the correlation analysis. Principles of disorders of the antioxidant-prooxidant system in burn disease are shown. A strong correlation between the number of damaged cells of the skin and peripheral blood and the parameters of POL and AOS was found. It is proven that burn disease causes disorders of the connective tissue in the organism. Increased concentrations of oxyproline, hexosamine, hexuronic and neuraminic acids in the blood are manifestations of the disorders. A potent correlation of the parameters of the connective tissue state and POL-AOS in blood is shown. Importance of general imbalances of the protein, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in the pathogenesis of burn disease is shown. For instance, elevated concentrations of "mean molecules", haptoglobin, ceruloplasmin, oxyproline, increased general proteolytic activity and decreased general antiproteolytic activity in the blood serum are symtoms of disorders of protein metabolism and presence of the syndrome of "endogeneous metabolic intoxication". Disorders of carbohydrate metanbolism are also observed, which are manifestated by elevated concentration of lactate, decreased content of pyruvate, increased activity of lactate dehydrogenase in blood. Lipid metabolism is affected as well, which is shown by decreased levels of phospholipids, triacylglycerols and increased level of free fatty acids in the blood. Correlations of disorders of the connective tissue and the metabolic disorders with cell dynamics of the burn inflammation of the skin and peripheral blood were investigated. For the first time the possibility of application of Criohor preparation for therapy of burn disease is proven experimentally on the grounds of the research of the burn disease. It is shown that Criohor is capable of inflammatory activity, inhibits POL processes, activates AOS, normalizes the state of the connective tissue, corrects various metabolic disorders. The degree of implementation: the results of the research are implemented in the educational process at departments of pathophysiology of Kharkov, Lugansk, Odessa, Sumy State Medical Universities and Ukrainian medical stomatological academy (Poltava). Branch of usage: medicine, pathophysiology, combustiology, pharmacology, clinical medicine.
