The thesis deals with physical and technological progress in science of organic fueled thermoelectric generators (TEG), research on peculiarities of power conversion in these generators and their use to determine the ways and methods for creating thermogenerators of increased efficiency. Classification of gas and liquid fueled TEG physical models has been elaborated including 64 models, among which are 55 new ones. The most rational models have been determined whose employment increases essentially the generators efficiency. Theory of catalytic heat sources has been developed, the distribution of temperatures, reagent concentrations and reaction velocities to achieve maximum heat generation efficiency has been found. A new class of thermoelectric materials and new types of gas fueled thermoelectric converters have been found whose efficiency is 1.6-1.8 times higher compared to thermocouple thermoelement. Parameters of life and cyclic stability of thermoelectric modules have been improved. TEG of milliwatt and watt power ranges with catalytic heat sources have been created. Method for integrated optimization of heat and electric current generator parameters has been elaborated. Due to the use of sectional thermal circuits, the efficiency of organic fueled TEG has been increased by a factor of 2.5. The use of two-stage thermal circuits has increased the operating speed of TEG for powering the automatics of gas devices.
