Basanets A. Modern approaches to diagnostics and preventioy of coal workers pneumoconiosis as a priority problem of occupational health

Theoretical generalization and solution of the actual problem on health protection are given in the dissertation - improving of pneumoconiosis prevention in Ukrainian coal miners on the basis of modern system of diagnostics. Work conditions in ukrainian coal mines were investigated including total dust, respirable dust and quartz concentrations in personal samples. The prevalence of CWP in examination of 616 coal miners was investigated. The comparative analysis was made and effectiveness of functional diagnostic methods (spirometry, bodiplethismography and diffusion capacity of alveolar-capillar membrane) was estimated. The diagnostic effectiveness of X-ray and HRCTwere investigated, CT-signs system of the CWP diagnostics was developed. Molecular-genetic markers of hereditary predisposition to coal workers pneumoconiosis have been determinated. The integrated system for early diagnostics and prevention of coal workers pneumoconiosis at different levels of medical care has been developed.
