Khavronyuk M. The Criminal Legislation of Ukraine and other Continental Countries of Europe: comparative analysis, harmonization issues

The monograph is focused on comprehensive comparison of research in the field of criminal legislation in continental European states with the purpose of identifying the possible ways of its harmonization in the context of actual and possible membership of Ukraine in the corresponding international organizations (U.N.O., European Council, European Union, CIS). The investigation concerned the major trends in development of criminal laws in the mentioned countries, their sources defined; the analysis performed as to the position of Criminal Codes with respect to determination of criminal acts and their legal consequences. Differences, contradictions and gaps in criminal legislation of Ukraine and other states are determined, its advantages and interference estimated. The proposal as to improvements of actual criminal legislation of Ukraine put forward.
