Chetverikov S. Diagnostics and combined treatment of patients with liver and lung echinococcosis

The dissertation is dedicated to the questions of improvement of results of treatment of patients with liver and lung echinococcosis, by use of modern techniques screening and additional diagnostics, minimal invasive videoendoscopic operations, effective techniques of processing, closing or draining of residual cavity after echinococcectomy and complex antirecurrence medicamentous therapy. Results of inspection and treatment of 418 patients and 515 operations are executed and analyzed. Оptimum methods of chemical or thermal processing, closing or draining of residual cavity after echinococcectomy are determined. It is proved, that use minimal traumatic intervention in combination with antirecurrence therapy raises efficiency of treatment of patients due to decrease in frequency of relapses and complications after operation, decrease of hospital stay and social rehabilitation period, mortality level. The algorithm of rational choice of technique of operative treatment is developed depending on localization, sizes of cyst, phases of its ability to live, presence of complications.
