Тhe оbject - the wheat biological variation as parental of cultivar properties, genetics material, methods of genetic variability increasing and selection of sources of high ability for cultivar-make. The aim - to summarize of information about wheat world genetics variability and to carry out selection of initial material, for breeding of high productive winter and spring bread wheat as well as spring durum wheat cultivars adapted to the environment of Ukrainian Forest-steppe. Methods - cross-breeding, biometrical, statistic. Novelty: the genealogy of Myronivka Institute of Wheat breeding and genetic components of its high ability for cultivar-make have been studied. Results: Expediency of selection of initial stocks from another areas background of cultivars developed at Myronivka Institute of Wheat or being of local ecotype, is theoretically substantiated and partially realized in wheat breeding under environment of Ukrainian Forest-steppe. Data concerning to role of maternal plasma are generalizedand knowledge about their use in adaptive breeding is enlarged. New wheat varieties with wheat-rye translocation 1AL/1RS incorporated have been developed. Application stage: for Stage sort testing the varieties of winter bread wheat – 20, spring bread wheat – 4, spring durum – 1 have been noted. Application area: research establishments of UAAS, farms
