Essay

New ethnopolitical phenomena is investigated in this dissertation. It is model of ethnonational politics, demonstrated with an example of postsoviet and postsocialist states. The complex political analysis of ethnicity from ethnonational politics of separate country's standpoint has been preformed for its formulation. The role of ethnic factor in ethnonational political processes was observed. The concept of ethnonational politics has been formulated as purposeful activity of the state aimed to regulate relationships between nations, ethnos, ethnic groups, minorities, fixed in political documents and state law. The phenomen of ethnic politics, its complicated interrelationship with etnopolitacal processes was investigated. It appears that ethnic politics influences etnopolitical processes and vice versa. Peculiarities of ethnonational politics models formulation in postsoviet and postsocialist countries with their postsoviet ethnopolitical baggage were analyzed. Most of them had to solve similar ethnopolitical problems, but they followed different ways accorded to the tasks, formulated by its ethnonational politics model. The latter was specified by political elites and ethnopolitical processes. Discovery of each country's ethnonational political models peculiarities helped to analyze and compare it with other postsoviet and postsocialist states' models and classify them according to similar/ distinct features in groups. Each one among investigated models was given a name, specified by its features. The law base of postsocialist states ethnonational politics was analyzed. In several cases the author proposed political and legal ways out of deadlock ethnopolitical situations, that seriously brake country's development.
