Joint effect on nonuniformity of metal outflow speed in exit cross-section and characteristics of extruded strip of the complex of pocket die design dimensionless parameters (including stepped dies): pocket sizes ratio, channel eccentricity, displacement of the pocket axis relative to channel axis and extrusion ratio is defined. Dependences of geometrical sizes and weight of metre of press-products taking into account profile out-of-contact deformation, die set elastic deformation and puller tension as against channel sizes are determined. Effect of extrusion's tool geometry and temperature-speed conditions upon on temperature, extrusion force, mechanical properties and metal structure for profiles of aluminium and magnesium alloys (AA7070, AA6060, AA6082, AZ31B) is established. Rational temperature-speed conditions for magnesium alloy AZ31B extrusion through the pocket dies which allow to produce the profiles of increased plasticity are determined, as well as experimental results allow to prognosticate the grain size. Effect of calcium content, extrusion ratio, billet and container temperature on extrusion force, mechanical properties and metal structure of small diameter tubes with wall thickness 0.4-0.7 mm of system Mg-Ca alloys is experimentally established. Methods for pocket (including stepped) dies and porthole dies design for extrusion of aluminium and magnesium alloys profiles are developed.
