Galyantych M. Private-law Foundations of the Realization of the Housing Rights of Citizens in Ukraine.

This dissertation features a comprehensive study of the issues inherent in modern and prospective development of the system of legal protection and defence of the citizens' housing rights in context of market transitions. The author analyzes issues of legal theory concerning realization of subjective citizens' rights, the structure of the legal relations concerning housing, the objects of housing rights, the use of residential quarters in the buildings of every form of ownership, organizational legal forms of the housing maintenance, grounds and consequences for termination of legal relations in the sphere of housing. On the basis of elucidation of the substance of the legal norms, the author formulates practical proposals and recommendations concerning the improvement of the housing and civil legislation for the purposes of harmonization of the legislation in the sphere of housing.
