Essay

Objective of research: processes of laminar flow and heat transfer for Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids in coaxial conic channels of different geometrical configurations. Purpose of research: development of the theoretical foundations of hydrodynamics and heat transfer with the forced flow of viscous liquids in the coaxial conic channels of chemical engineering equipment, creation of the science-based engineering and analytical methods of calculations for laminar flow and heat transfer of viscous liquids in the coaxial conic channels. Methods of research: methods of solution for different equations in partial derivatives, of Laplace-Karson transformation, methods of eigenfunctions and statistical method. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: the science foundations of theory and calculation of hydrodynamics and heat transfer processes in laminar flow for liquid mediums in coaxial conic channels of chemical engineering equipments were created. The analytical solutions for hydrodynamics problemsof creeping flow and laminar flow with take account of characteristic inertial force in the coaxial conic diffusers and confusors with the constant and variable along the flow width were obtained and investigated. The problem of convective heat transfer with laminar flow in coaxial conic diffusers and confusors with the different boundary conditions were solved and investigated. The hydrodynamics and thermal entrance lengths and entrance correction of pressure were founded. The methods of analytical calculations for steady state laminar flow and heat transfer in coaxial conic channels were elaborated. Level of approbation: the obtained results in thesis were introduced at Close Corporation "UkrNIIhimmash". The science results are used in learning process of National technical university "Kharkiv polytechnical institute" The field of applications: chemical engineering, food industry, learning process in institutions of higher education.
