Sergeyeva T. Characteristics of epidemiological process of hepatitis B and C in Ukraine at present time and surveillance system

Dissertation is devoted to the study of regularities of hepatitis B and C epidemic process' development in Ukraine at present time, to learn the influence of social factors on its quantitative and qualitative parameters, and to the improvement of epidemiological surveillance system and its structure. A dynamics, true intensity, manifestations of epidemic process, leading modes of transmission, high risk groups, and influence of cosial factors on hepatitis B and C epidemic process are istablished. New scientific information about the features of hepatitis B and C prevalence among the different social-behavioral groups is got. Wide prevalence of hepatitis B and C at the high risk groups is background of epidemic unfavorable situation. Epidemiologic synergism between hepatitis B, C and HIV-infection, tuberculosis, STD, drug addiction is established. The surveillence system for hepatits B and C in Ukraine is optimized, and the prevention measures are adapted to the changes of cosial factors, influencibf onan epidemic process in modern terms.
