Object of investigation - power and technological processes in systems of external illumination of cities. Objective - saving energy in systems of cities illumination and increase qualitative and quantity indicators of streets and highways illumination. Methods of investigation - metod of approximation light power curves and dynamical volt-ampere's characteristic of discharge lamps, method of variable conditions of electric networks, methods of mathimatical statistics, methods of theoretical and applied photometry. Have been developed - a complex of scientific and technical decisions after economy of electric energy, creation of control systems and the control of operating modes of lighting installations, to increase qualitative and quantity indicators of extermal illumination of cities. Have been applied - monitoring systems and managements of an operating mode of lightinginstallations, methods of calculation and an estimation or parameters of quality of a road covering of roads and higways of cities. Area of application - development, manufacture, operation of systems of external illumination of cities.
