The work has revealed the peculiarities of ethiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment of luteal phase defect in women of different age groups. The main variants were revealed: on the base of extragenital pethology (thyroid dysfunction, hyperprolactinemia, insulinresistency with hyperandrogenia) and on the base of ovarian dysfunction (normogonadotropic and hypergonadotropic). The role of stress was proved in the genesis of this pathology. The key role of angiospasm was discovered in the pathogenesis of different variants of LPD. The risk factors for the development of this pathology have been developed.
