Essay

In the given thesis a theoretical and experimental material on application of the biologically active additives of the plant origin in feeding farm animals has been stated. The most optimal doses of feeding additives are determined on the base of complex research. The effect of the proposed additives on performance, fodder costs for manufacture and cost price of products, preservation of total number of livestock, hematological indices, morphological structure of digestion organs and internal secretion glands, morphological condition of the internal secretion glands, reproductive organs, meat quality and its tasting properties, chemical composition of organs and tissues has been studied. It has been determined that application of the extracts of plants, dry Echinacea purple as a constituent of the complex fodders causes growth of gaining weight in the replaced young chicken, broilers, rabbits and fish to 6,9 - 24,8%, laying ability of hens to 26%, increases preservation of total number, lowers fodder costs. It is stated that the additives under investigation increase digestibility of nutrients in the fodder, intensify nutrient digestibility in the fodder, strengthen hematogenesis due to increase of erythrocytes number, hemoglobin and iron in blood plasma. Biologically active additives of plant origin accelerate puberty of the replaced young chicken, sexual organs mass being increased, estradiol and follicle stimulating hormone in blood plasma being raised. Chemical composition of organs and tissues, eggs testifies to more accumulation of protein, vitamin A, carotene, iron and zinc in them. It has been determined that the investigated additives positively influenced on the morphological structure of the digestive organs to be appeared in increasing mass of adenous fore-stomach papules in the replaced young chicken, laying hens and adenous fore-stomach papules number in broilers. Application of the biologically active additives of plant origin facilitated the increase of the tasting qualities of broiler meat and its physical and chemical properties. Efficiency of utilization of the plant origin biologically active additives in feeding farm animals has been proved.
