Essay

In the thesis, control problems are solved for models of mechanical systems with elastic elements having infinite number of degrees of freedom. A class of generalized dynamical systems with the multi-valued solutions flow is introduced, and conditions of partial asymptotic stability are investigated for such systems in Banach and metric spaces. These results are applied for the synthesis of control functionals of a mechanical system consisting of rigid bodies together with the Euler - Bernoulli and Timoshenko beams. A new approach for the stabilization of nonlinear control systems is proposed, based on the application of the critical Hamiltonians.
