Vereshchako R. Treatment of cicatrical stenosis of esophagus

Dissertation is devoted to the questions of perfection of conservative and surgical treatment of cicatrical stenosis of esophagus. 292 patients have been treated among which in 62 it was found out combination of stenosis of esophagus and stomach, in 14 - hypopharynx and esophagus, in 40 is perforation (esophagus - 39, stomach - 1), 23 patients were hospitalized by fistula of esophagus, 3 - with malignant esophageal bening stricture. Conservative treatment of cicatrical stenosis of esophagus after the improved method gave a positive result in 156 (77,6%) from a 201 patient. At short stenosises of bouginage it was effective in 86,6% the patients, prolonged - in 75,2%, total and subtotal stenosis - in 65%. Different restorations operations on a gullet with the use of new variants of reconstruction are conducted to a 121 (41,4%) patient. New variants esophagoplasty had for an object the maximal maintainance of the unchanged esophagus and good function of the reconstructed segment. A postoperation deathratewas 0,83%.
