Ursy N. Sacral art of the Dominican order on the lands of Ukraine (XVII-XIX centuries)

The dissertation is devoted to studying of artistic heritage of Dominican order on the lands of Ukraine of the XVII-XIX centuries. The author investigates the conditions, history of formation and existence of Dominican locations, determines the dates of emergence of temples, mentions the names of founders and benefactors; from the darkness of the past elicits the names of home and invited from other countries artists. The research analyses semantic roots, style and artistic-compositional peculiarities of architecture of mendicants, integrated connection of tem-ple architecture and its sacral filling, architectonic figura-tiveness of artistic heritage of monks. The attempt to present the monument-protection meaning of investigation of artistic heritage of the order on Ukrainian lands is realized; industry is a theory and history of culture, museum management studies; relics management studies.
