Krestovska N. Juvenile Law of Ukraine: Genesis and Modern State

The thesis is a historical and theoretical legal research of juvenile law of Ukraine. Formation of a new research direction – legal juvenalistics (studies of juvenile law) is determined. In this research the authour concluded presence of paternalist, protectionist and autonomy doctrines of juvenile law and their combination in Ukraine. It is marked that the juvenile law has a strong historical tradition in Ukraine. The authour applied the complex criterion of a branch division in the legal system of and proved the presence of juvenile law as a new complex branch industry of Ukrainian law. Its sources, principles, functions, system, relations with moral, religion, policy are elicited and analyzed. Concepts of juvenile legal relations, juvenile status, juvenile offence, juvenile responsibility are put into scientific circulation. Author conception of juvenile justice is given
