Essay

Dissertation studies, gives background and formulates the concept of national priority in prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases on the individual and population levels. On the bases of complex analysis of epidemiological conditions in cardio-vascular diseases formation dynamics and results in long term prospective males and females aged 40-59 observation of CVD risks have been studied, the concept of RF role in development of premature death among males has been con-firmed, prognostic role of traditional factors among females was established, priorities for general and cardiovascular mor-tality was defined and gender peculiarities influencing longev-ity were revealed. Death from CVD forecast model has been built. This model due to high level of probability, being eco-nomical and accessible, can be widely utilized in practical medicine with the purpose to defect individual risks and under massive population observation - to segment part of popula-tion which require first line in treatment and prophylaxis. On the basis of own population research and changes in preva-lence and overage meanings of RF the dissertation demon-strates the necessity to concurrently utilize two strategies: high risk ad population strategy in the policy of health im-provement and mortality decrease in the population of Ukraine.
