Bobukh N. Antonyms in Ukrainian poetic language of the XX century: structural and semantic, functional and stylistic and lexicographic aspects.

The dissertation deals for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics with complex analysis of antonymic word usage in the poetry of the XX century. Theoretic fundaments of antonyms are shown, the definitions of poetic antonyms, antonyms binotinals, antonymic and synonymic paradigms are given. Key oppositions of poetic discourse taking into account positive and negative meaning of their constituents are identified and analysed. Symmatric and assymmatric antonimic pairs are analysed, structural, morphologic, functional and semantic classification of oppositions is suggested, connection of antonyms with polysems and synonyms is analysed. Paradigmatic and syntagmatic peculiarities of lexems with contrary meaning are described.
