Babich T. Family delivery: the obstetric and perinatal complications reducing

The thesis presents a new solution to the challenging scientific problem: reduction of obstetric and perinatal complications by designing an improved programme on preparing the couple for the childbirth and management of participatory childbirth. In the thesis childbirth is considered to be a psycho-emotional stress, intensity of which depends on the type of a woman's subjective control, which determines changes in situational and personality anxiety, the condition of stress-realizing and stress-limiting system, and with the normal type it is characterized by an adequate stress, but with external and especially with internal type is characterized by non-adaptive disruptions in the neuro-mediating link of the labour activity, resulting in increase of obstetric and perinatal complications in childbirth. Scientific evidence gives proof to the fact that management of participatory childbirth, especially with women who together with their husbands attended prenatal training under the developed system, setsconditions for high effectiveness of labour complications' frequency reduction, contributes to the birth of a healthy baby, and also makes early breast-feeding possible; high cost-effectiveness of the suggested approach is proved.
