Essay

Dissertation is devoted to determination of appropriateness of development of main characteristics of influenza epidemic process in Ukraine, to perfection of his etiologic forecasting and development of influenza control principles in the conditions of specific immunoprophylaxis. There is represented in the work the theoretical summarizing of the long-term researches and, as a result - the appropriateness of development of influenza epidemic process in Ukraine are determined. Trend and rates of evolution of influenza viruses are first set by the method of permanent virologic track, antigen mapping and mathematical modeling. It is displayed that the accumulation of certain amount of genetic mutations which appear as a result of pass viruses on large populations brings to the changes in composition a hemagglutinin and neuraminidase - basic surface antigens of influenza viruses. As a result - the new epidemic antigen variant is appearing. It is created the modern system of epidemiology surveillance on influenza by introduction of monitoring on genetic and antigenic changes in population of viruses on national, regional and global levels. The connection of these changes is set with appearance of new antigen variant of virus, etiologic forecasting on this basis of seasonal influenza epidemics in Ukraine and planning of the grounded measures on diminishing of morbidity level among of high risk groups.
