Leuta O. Verbal sentences in the Ukrainian literary language: structure, semantics, models.

The dissertation introduces complex of semantic and structural organization of simple sentences with verbal predicates of various semantic and lexical groups as well as pecularities of their functioning in modern Ukrainian literary language. The problem of verbal semantics, formation of typological meaning of verbal predicate and process of topical desemantization and lexicalization analyzed in the work considered. The main function of verbs (predicative and propositive, copulative, modifying, compensatory) have been defined and investigated in sentence structure. For the first time an attempt to represent verbal sentences as systematically organized fragment which has features of field structure. The place of the sentences with certain semantics has been defined in this fragment. Conditionality of sentence structure by valent and intentional potentials of verbal predicate has been grounded and provide considerable factual material. Basic models of verbal sentences of different semantics have been defined and their inner model variants and kinds of morphological structural realization have been proved.
