Essay

This is first monography in Ukrainian political and legal sciences investigating the gnoseologic sources and socio-cultural determinacy of views of Tomash Garrig Masaryk - philosopher, known political leader and statesman of XX century, first President of Chech-Slovak Republic. His theoretical heritage had been analyzed in the context of European and Ukrainian philosophical, political and legal sciences tradition; his evaluation of struggle for national liberation and state-building processes by Chech and other Slavic nations had been highlighted so as his views on society, nation, law, state, democracy. The author pointed the pecularities of this views realization in practice of parliamentary democracy bulding in Chechoslovak Republic in the interwar period (1918 - 1938). The author defined ideas and predictions of Tomash Masaryk that still have social significance
